About Dr. Matthew Westheimer

The thing that I love most about kids is that they are dreamers. Nothing is impossible to them. Kids want to be pilots, astronauts, professional athletes, and rocket scientists. After I got over the fact that I was never going to be a professional baseball player, my life became all about becoming a chiropractor. Some of my favorite times were hanging out in the office of my dad (who is also a chiropractor) and hearing all the stories from his patients, about how he changed their lives. Sure I had likes and preferences for other things, but nothing to me was more powerful than turning life on in people’s lives day in and day out. Ever since then, I’ve never looked back – until now. Don’t get me wrong. I still LOVE what I do, but I have developed a new passion over the years. That passion is helping people to realize THEIR true passion and getting out there and creating extraordinary lives.

I went to college at the University of Central Florida, where I graduated summa cum laude, and then went on to chiropractic school at Life University. I was always involved in leadership and personal development. I always had a deep desire to determine what it took to create outrageous success – financially, emotionally, physically, socially, romantically, and mentally. It was in chiropractic school that I also developed a love for traveling and exploring the world. I remember very vividly my second year of chiropractic school studying with my best friend, and he was planning a trip to backpack in Iceland. As we discussed his trip, he invited me along. I went that evening to book my tickets, and my life has never been the same since. Throughout school, I traveled to Iceland, France, Germany, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovenia, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, China, and Israel and have since been to places such as Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, and Singapore.

After graduating magna cum laude from Life University in 2009, I decided to pack up and move back to my hometown of Fort Lauderdale, FL. I had a great job in a fantastic office, and after about a year and a half, I was contemplating either opening up my own practice or exploring opportunities to live overseas. That desire to live overseas, while it had been suppressed for some time, never truly went away. It all came together with a single question asked by my mentor. He asked me, ”What will you regret more 15 years from now: the fact that you didn’t stay in your hometown and settle down or the fact that you didn’t take time to explore the world?” That was all I needed.

In December 2010, I chose to visit my best friend, who was living in Singapore. I fell in the love with the opportunity to live over here and packed up everything and moved here 6 weeks later. Since I have been here, I have built my dream chiropractic practice serving hundreds of families every week and traveling all over Southeast Asia. I’ve stayed in water villages in Borneo, went scuba diving with sharks, went rock climbing the limestone walls of Thailand, and stayed in a villa built on a cliff in Bali. I’ve explored countries like Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and the list continues.

We all have a desire to live passionate lives. I am excited to help you find yours.
